I’m the Senior Partner of the law firm Patton and Patton and a former Kansas State Representative. Those credentials and $2.75 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks, where you will find me most weekends if I am not babysitting one of our thirteen grandkids or fly fishing.

I was raised in Kansas City by my stay-at-home Mom and my Dad, an electrical engineer who built every house the family ever lived in, and a former World War 2, Army Sargent. I attended Washburn University, where I discovered the love of my life, Cindy. We raised four children, three of which now work in the firm. My daughter Michelle will join the firm next summer, 2023, when she graduates from U.M.K.C. Law School, and yes, the kids still like me. However, Cindy was smart enough to retire. My standard answer for those who ask when I will retire is, “I am always retiring from things I don’t want to do and people I don’t want to be around,” a line I stole from a friend. Thanks, Ben. I love practicing law in courtrooms throughout Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri.

At Patton and Patton, we do Justice and drink lots and lots of coffee.
